Diploma in Mining Engineering is a three year long diploma programme after standard 10. Mining engineering is essentially as the name suggests, the engineering, that is the science technology and application of mining that is the extraction of minerals. It involves studying subjects such as electrical and mechanical engineering, engineering drawing, mining safety, mining survey, computer aided design and drafting, and etc.
The course includes subjects ranging from English, mathematics, electronics, and mining, to assisting subjects like applied sciences, graphics, etcetera which would help the candidate be successful in this field. 1. According to experts, in the next five years, there will be half a million new jobs in public sector undertakings (PSU) such as COAL INDIA Ltd., SAIL, MECL, NMDC, NTPC, MOIL, NLC, UCIL, etc., where a mining diploma engineer can join as Junior executive trainee.
2. Can gain 2nd class Mines Manager certificate and 1st class Mines Manager certificate after having relevant experience in the field.
3. After completion the diploma course in mining, they can be employed by private mining company as a Jr. Engineer such as TATA, RUNGTA, USHA MARTIN, SAINIK MINING.
